Cracks, Gaga & Kintsugi: A Venus x Saturn [Anti?] Love Story
When I first looked at the chart for the Aquarius New Moon and saw this Venus/ Saturn Conjunction (also in Aquarius) I thought about two things: 1. that line about trust from Telephone, by Lady Gaga ft Beyonce: “Trust is like a mirror, you can fix it if it's broken, but you can still see the crack in that motherfucker's reflection;" and 2. Kintsugi the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold.
I think Venus conjunct Saturn says "love isn't enough". This transit wants to know if you think alike; can you plan a future together? Do you dream in the same world in a compatible language? Is this really sustainable in ways other than how we 'feel'? Are our feelings even sustainable? Who and what are you choosing for the foreseeable future? What are the rules or guidelines dictating your relationship? What vows, promises, codes of conduct, contracts are you agreeing to, and do you do it knowingly or unknowingly? This transit could show up as: 'but you said..." or "I thought this is what you wanted..." This transit will highlight matters of commitment and consent in private and public life; it will show us cracks and make us consider how (if we desire) we will choose to repair them. With what tools do these repairs require and how will we choose to view the inevitable cracks that will remain? Will they be painful reminders of what was broken? Or will you see learned lessons, challenges overcome, which add to the beauty and life of the relationship? Venus conjunct Saturn transit occurs annually, provoking thought around how we do relationships, especially deal with conflict in them, for the next year. The last Venus/Saturn conjunction was on March 28th 2022.
Strong relationships will survive this transit and win gold; less than solid relationships have more work to do to stay intact. If you're unattached, you may stumble into an affair with an older partner, or meet someone in a position of authority that can help you in your career or other important matter. This situation won't be love, you may be attracted to each others' minds, opinions about the future, physical bodies (lust), or inspire each others' work (muse energy).
Venus is not only the planet of love, beauty, pleasure and attraction, but also the planet of money and territory. Challenges around finances and real estate can also dominate at this time, so also look at your long term relationships with your money, investments and where you live. Saturn is the planet of karma, the long term, authority, rules and conventions. Aquarius is very individualistic, rebellious and future thinking sign/energy.
